Solo Exhibition
Kentucky School of Art
Louisville, KY
April through May 2011
Through photography, sculpture and video, the exhibition blends
multiple sources drawn from the fields of science, religion, and education. Originating
from an interest in the debate between evolution and intelligent design, particularly its
wide dissemination into education, the work erases the line between these two opposing ideologies.
From altered scientific and religious book covers, to enlarged toy dinosaur puzzles, and
film of fossil displays from the American Museum of Natural History and
the Creation Museum, the work collapses into a fictive and elusive space verging on abstraction.
